Poppy & ANZAC day Appeal

The United Returned Soldiers' Fund

The United Returned Soldiers' Fund was formed over 80 years ago by three organisations:

  • The Returned and Services League of Australia (New South Wales Branch);
  • The Limbless Soldiers Association; and
  • The TB Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen Association.

Sadly in 2004 the Limbless Soldiers Association closed and now the United Returned Soldiers' Fund is a partnership between The League and the TB Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen Association.

The United Returned Soldiers' Fund is responsible for both the ANZAC Day Appeal and Poppy Day Appeal.

The monies raised by the Appeals are donated to TB Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen Association and the RSL Welfare and Benevolent Institution

The United Returned Soldiers' Fund  previously had offices at the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park, but due to the age and dwindling membership of the TB Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen Association and Limbless Soldiers Association, it was decided to move United Returned Soldiers' Fund to ANZAC House and for The League to provide more direct administrative support.
